Itinerary

At 8:00 a.m., meet your driver at your riad / hotel. Marrakech departure over the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains to the Dades Valley. Along the road from Marrakech to Ouarzazate, you may enjoy the scenic route, gorgeous landscapes of various colors, and Berber communities.

You will have free time here to explore the old Kasbah of Ouarzazate "Kasbah of Taourirt" and have lunch before continuing south to the Dadès Valley, passing through the valley of the roses and the magnificent oasis of the Skoura palm forest. In the Dades Valley, it is both day and night.

After breakfast, embark from your Dades Valley hotel at 8 a.m. and travel the Thousand kasbah road through the Dades Valley's beautiful Berber settlements. Tineghir, with its lovely palm grove and Jewish district, is 45 kilometers away.

Continue to the Todra Gorge (Todgha), where you will have free time to walk through the 300-meter-high canyons, a popular climbing destination. Then you'll go to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert, stopping for lunch along the way before landing in Erfoud. Then we'll drive to Erg Chebbi's sand dunes.

We travel deeper into the desert till we come across dunes in the midst of nothing. To get to the oasis where the camp is located, take a sunset camel ride. Spend the night at Merzouga's bivouac under the stars or outside under the nomad tents. With camel drivers, there will be a Berber display and music. Dinner and an overnight stay at a desert camp.

Early in the morning, you will be awakened by the dawn above the Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by breakfast in the camp, a camel trek, and a shower fast before returning to the accommodation at the dune line.

We travel to Rissani, a small town in Morocco's sub-Saharan region, where we can visit a fossil workshop before continuing to the Draa Valley, going via picturesque Berber settlements such as Tazarine and Nkob, resting in Nkob for lunch before continuing to Zagora via the Draa Valley and the Atlas' tiny volcanic summits

In Zagora, spend the night and dinner in a bivouac or a hotel.

After breakfast, we'll proceed west for a short drive to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most visited locations, to explore the charm of Berber settlements. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and is regarded a magnificent example of Moroccan earthen clay construction. It also served as the filming location for countless Hollywood epics, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Enjoy a guided stroll through the village before continuing to Telouet, another Kasbah on the historic trade route from Marrakech to the Sahara desert.
